Riff Raff - /rɪfraf/ - Noun.
A dynsfunctional conglomeration of idiots, savants and undesirables. Thrown together by a shared love of toffee (vodka), and a strong and persistent desire to be really rather loud. Generally with wide ranging influences such as J.J. Cale, Smashing Pumpkins, Red Hot Chili Peppers and many many Mississippi blues geniuses. Often to be found fronted by Tom Meyritz holding a guitar and microphone, with Pete Lee to his right with a bass, Simon Tuohy to his left with a guitar and Dave "The Baker" Seaver behind providing the driving force on drums. This motley crew are often saved by the calming, although slightly mad, influence of Victoria Meyritz, singing her way through life like a sherpa of melody. A Riff Raff can generally be found in and around Tunbridge Wells, playing music and/or drinking. If a Riff Raff is spotted, it is generally advised to retreat quietly and watch from the bushes.
