Ricky and the Hats are:

Ricky Charles Millis - Wordsmith
Rosanna Colclough - Vocals
Scotty Watson - Vocals and Guitar
Simon O’ Kelly - Drums and vocals
Stephen Price - Bass and vocals
Ed Paterson - Keys

With their colourful range of facial expressions and a decent amount of banter, it's no wonder Ricky and the Hats have been turning heads whilst entertaining the music scene. Ricky's playful tongue-in-cheek lyrics, fused with Rosanna’s expressive vocals and Scotty's funky/reggae style guitar hooks creates a truly unique sound of pop-beat poetry… delivered by an even more interesting mix of characters.

In 2013, Ricky and the Hats were crowned runners up of the nationwide Open Mic UK competition held at The O2, winners of their category and were presented with the ‘Best Original Song’ award from Root 1. The band walked away with not only smiles upon their little funny faces, but with a cash prize to put towards their music.

2013 saw The Hats write and record the jingles for comedian Eric Lampaert’s “Two tickets to the Gum Show” at Edinburgh Festival.

Ricky and the Hats have performed at a number of high profile industry events, including London Rocks at the prestigious Café de Paris in Leicester Square alongside acts such as Juan Zelada, Lee Ryan, Simon Webbe, Jonathan Wilkes, Lemar,  Jahmene Douglas and Leo Ihenacho (The Streets).

RATH were also recently asked to perform at this year’s Hop Farm Music Festival as part of “Muzivo Rising”, performing alongside acts such as; Eliza Doolittle, Brian Wilson (The Beach Boys), Ray Davies (The Kinks), Grace Jones and Scouting for Girls. They are also featured artists on the brand new music app, Muzivo.

Quentin Holway

Quentin Holway, otherwise known as Alfie Noakes for reasons no-one can recall, is a local type who writes songs and then plays them to people.

He was in the Moonshot Blues Band, later called the Moonshots, who did quite a lot of stuff a while back, playing all over the UK and Europe to great acclaim. They stopped and Quentin went solo, playing all over the UK and Europe to great acclaim. He also formed the band Sevenscore, playing all his own songs, and recorded the album Safe and Dry, which has become something of a rarity due to there never being that many copies of it in the first place.

There is talk of a new album, due for release about four years ago, and maybe a T-shirt. His influences include Christopher Hitchens, Neil Sedaka and roast chicken, in that order. If you rolled John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Thom Yorke and Nick Drake into one, you'd end up with a very peculiar looking person.

As a recent Graduate from the University of Leeds, Georgia now dedicates as much time as possible to her passion of writing music. As well as focusing her energy on film composition, song-writing has always been a passion for her.

Performing at the Grey Lady since September 2013, Georgia’s style has developed over the past year leading to the emergence of an eclectic mix of songs. Drawing from personal experiences with the occasional burst of fiction and a healthy dose of humour, her music often explores issues experienced by many.

Her quirky piano style combined and her vocals take influences from many different music genres including folk, pop and soul. As her confidence continues to grow and her writing develops she is looking forward to showcasing her music again in Tunbridge Wells.
