Singersongwriter Bella Mckendree, formerly known as Annabel Durnford, has been writing and performing for 3 years. Bella’s musical style is acoustic and soulful. Bella’s influences are Jeff Buckley, Joni Mitchell, Einaudi, Cat Stevens, Elliott Smith, Joan Baez, Tracy Chapman, Alicia Keys and Bon Iver. Bella brings her experiences and memories into her songs. Her recent headline performance at The Grey Lady was described by Paul as ‘truly breathtaking’ Volunteering in East Africa 2 years ago provides Bella with much inspiration and energy to compose. Having been to Cardiff University to read music and dropped out Bella is now going to Brighton Institute of Modern Music.

Lou Rivers has been enchanting audiences with his acoustic style across the South east since his early teens. Now through time spent studying a Songwriting degree at the British Institute of Modern music, and the life experiences that came as a result, Lou has both broadened and honed his unique style. 

Having taken a break from live performance to refine his songwriting, Lou is keen to return to the stages which in the past have included the Tunbridge Wells Forum and the London Troubadour.

His sound is comparable to the likes of Elliott Smith, Radiohead, Beck and Neutral Milk hotel, but is constantly taking inspiration from sources both in and outside of music. 

Lou is currently working on a Solo EP followed by plans for a 2016 album release, whilst working alongside musicians of all genres as he completes his degree.

At the tender age of just 15 years old, Charlotte Rose Ellis shows maturity in her songwriting and performances that many older artists envy.  Initially trained since the age of 5 in musical theatre, Charlotte has developed her passion as a singer/songwriter and pianist over the past two years. Charlotte enjoys a broad range of music, from Adele and Taylor Swift through to Evanescence and Alter Bridge.  Charlotte has mostly been inspired and likened to Tori Amos for her unusual covers and original music.  Charlotte’s vocal has a haunting quality that leaves audiences wanting more.  She has performed in venues from Margate to Aylesbury, but mostly in the Medway towns and Maidstone including the Brook and Central theatres in Chatham, Rochester Castle and Hazlitt theatre in Maidstone.  Charlotte is delighted to be performing at the Grey Lady and looks forward to sharing her music with you. Tunbridge Wells based singer / songwriter Mystery Clarke has established himself as one of the most captivating and charismatic soloists on the local music scene. He has been performing at The Grey Lady for many years now and he has recently been working with a host of top local musicians to form one of the most unusual bands in the area. A veritable super-group of experts in the fields of funk, folk and electronica - The Mystery Clarke Band are well worth investigating.
